THE POMERANIAN LIBRARY INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION - Partners and joint projects
Landesbibliothek Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schwerin has been co-operating with the Pomeranian Library since 2005. In 2008 the libraries entered into an agreement of co-operation: both institutions carry out exchange of doublets, their own publications and bibliographic information, librarians and trainees, they both organize study trips for librarians.
They also present regional publications from Szczecin and Polish West Pomerania in Schwerin, and those from Macklenburg-Vorpommern in Szczecin, as well as exhibitions, among them The treasures of the Pomeranian Library in Szczecin visit German neighbours (Skarby Książnicy Pomorskiej w Szczecinie z wizytą u niemieckich sąsiadów) (Schwerin 2007), The land of eagles – Pomerania and Meklemburgia (Kraina orłów - Pomorze i Meklemburgia) (Szczecin 2008).
Vorpommersches Künstlerhaus, Heinrichsruh – a creative work centre for artists, organizes concerts of early and contemporary music, lectures, literary meetings, and exhibitions. It has been co-operating with the Pomeranian Library since 2004 (realization of the project The Palace in Buk Kamieński – the place of cross-border Polish-German meetings. Modernization of the lodging house within INTERREG III A, a touring exhibition the Library Tours (Bibliotheks-Tour).
Pommersches Landesmuseum, Greifswald has been collaborating with the Pomeranian Library since 2007. The two institutions organized the following exhibition A slanting glance – performance in photography (Spojrzenie z ukosa - inscenizacja w fotografii) (Szczecin 2008) and a Polish-German workshop for youth Installation in the landscape - Buk 2008 (Instalacja w pejzażu - Buk 2008).
Universitätsbibliothek, Rostock co-operates with the Pomeranian Library in the field of publications and bibliographic information exchange. in Rostock the Pomeranian Library has presented an exhibition titled The treasures of the Pomeranian Library in Szczecin visiting German neighbours (2007).
Zentral- und Landesbibliothek Berlin is a partner of the Pomeranian Library. Together the two institutions set up an exhibition titled The treasures of the Pomeranian Library in Szczecin visit German neighbours (2007-2008), and conducted a professional training in the Berlin library for Pomeranian Library librarians.
Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz zu Berlin co-operates with the Pomeranian Library in the field of publications and bibliographic information exchange, as well as study trips and professional training for librarians.
In co-operation with the institutions of Departament Gironde, the Pomeranian Library implements projects within the scope of co-operation between the Department and West Pomeranian Province (which comprises: an exhibition „French literature in Polish translation. Selections from the Pomeranian Library Collections”(„Książka francuska w polskim przekładzie. Wybór ze zbiorów Książnicy Pomorskiej”) (2006), an internship of a writer from Bordeaux, Joseph Incardon in Szczecin, professional trainings for librarians in Bordeaux and Szczecin libraries).
